deconstructing binaries

hey frandz,

As you know, Matt and Jenne have been working on Deconstructing Binaries, our alternative bathroom signage project to encourage conversations around and challenge binary visual representations of gender. Lots of info can be found at: http://www.deconstructingbinaries.org/

The signs have been completed and we’re now in the phase of reaching out to restaurants and business to purchase the signs. THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN.

What businesses and restaurants should we be reaching out to? Who do you think would be a good fit? Who do you think would bite? Please post your ideas in the comments.

news of Durf!

Lifted from Durf’s facebook profile:

“My proposal, “Old Testament, New 52: Conflicting Religions in the DC Universe,” has been accepted by the Comics and Popular Arts Academic Conference at this year’s Dragon Con! If you didn’t have a reason to attend, now you do! I will be discussing how the DC universe allows a space where our mythologies are able to reach their absurd conclusions and then interact with each other as evidenced by Wonder Woman (daughter of Zeus), the Phantom Stranger (Judas Iscariot), and GL Simon Baz (a Muslim who follows a pantheon of celestial blue men visually inspired by Former Prime Minister of Israel David Ben-Gurion).”

exciting, exciting, go if you can!
